Cole Gerard's debut exhibit consists of photos from Istanbul and New York. His subject matter consists of aged concrete walls, abstract architectural forms, and an outdoor fish market. The photo’s are investigations into the so-called insignificant beauties of the chaotic city. The fish series, for example, are taken close up, enhancing the silver scales and fleshy crimson incisions, emphasizing their identity as a commodity, in contrast to their original being.
